1. August 1 – National Mountain Climbing Day
If your ideal day out is described with words such as “valleys,” “escarpments,” or “peaks,” August 1st is the day for you. Grab your bike or your climbing gear and hit the trail!
2. August 3 – International Beer Day
Hey, it’s only a coffee mug if you put coffee in it. As hot as it is, maybe something a little colder is called for. More beer mugs are here.
3. August 9 – Book Lover’s Day
I always have two or three books going, and am on a first-name basis with my local librarians. If your ideal vacation involves a stack of best sellers, check out our other librarian mugs.
4. August 16 – National Tell a Joke Day
My kids and I are always swapping jokes, usually based on terrible puns. As they say, laughter is the best medicine. We have a whole collection of funny mugs.
5. August 19 – Aviation Day
Maybe you’re a pilot; maybe you’re a planespotter. In either case, August 19 is the day we celebrate all forms of air travel (even hot air balloons).
6. August 22 – National Tooth Fairy Day
When I was little and wanted more quarters for the arcade, I tried to fool the tooth fairy with corn kernels. Never worked. We have more dentist mugs here.
7. August 27 – Just Because Day
