If you were around in the 80s, you probably heard that word a lot. Most positive experiences and things were described as being “awesome.” If it was really good, it was “totally awesome!” That’s the 1980s, by the way. In the 1580s, it meant “deeply reverential.” In the 1680s, it meant “inspiring awe or dread.”
The word is still used a lot in here in the 21st century, and in 2007, March 10 became the International Day of Awesomeness. As the tagline says, “No one’s perfect, but everyone can be awesome.” So get your friends together and go perform some feats of awesomeness. You can also celebrate with an awesome new mug!
