Being Politic

There are two big political events in November. On the 5th, the U.K. celebrates Guy Fawkes Day, where they remember the 1605 plot to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I. Activities include fireworks, bonfires, and burning effigies.

On the 6th, the U.S. holds its elections for local, state, and national leadership positions. Activities include being glued to the precinct returns, schadenfreude, and heavy drinking.

Whatever your political leanings, voting is the most important exercise of civic responsibility you can engage in. Whether you’re a hard-right Conservative, bleeding heart Liberal, or any flavor in between, you lose your right to complain if you don’t act, so go vote! And then relax with a coffee in one of our political mugs!

1. Cry Moar

It’s always nice to see some politician’s power grab explode in their face.

2. Snowflakes

How are those protests and petitions working out for you?

3. A Closer Look

Getting more involved in politics is a lot like turning over a rotten log and seeing what’s really going on underneath.

4. Down with this sort of thing!

There’s no such thing as a Utopia, so there’s always something to fight against.

5. Old Glory

We may disagree on how to steer, but we all want the country to be the best it can be.

This is just a sample of the political mugs we carry. Remember, U.S. orders of two or more mugs get free shipping, which is like a tiny tax break!
