They say not to put all of your eggs in one basket, but when they’re pastel-colored and have candy inside…
My kids are old enough that I don’t have to go all in with the Easter traditions. I just buy them a bag of their favorite treat and call it done. It was fun to encourage the wonder and excitement when they were little, but I’m glad I don’t have to sneak around and pretend to be a magical rabbit delivering assorted snacks anymore. I have Amazon Prime for a reason.
Of course, for others, there is a huge religious aspect to the day. My dad was a minister, so Easter was one of the Big Two in our household. Double services at the church, and a parade of visitors at the house afterwards. My jobs were to entertain the kids that came over, and make sure the VCR was recording the game for Dad to watch later.
Easter is April 21 this year, and if you celebrate, we have an Easter mug for you!
It’s amazing what turns up in an indoor egg hunt. Remote controls, missing socks, overdue library books, money. I may schedule one once a month.
2. Three Days Later
Christians all over the world take this day to remember the sacrifice and deliverance.
3. Sugar Bomb
They’re not the better candy (that would be the chocolate bunny), but Peeps will deliver a turbo boost of energy for the egg hunt.
4. Why Not Both?
You don’t have to choose just one reason to celebrate. Admittedly, only one of those reasons requires a gym membership.
5. For Everyone Else
You don’t have to have kids or be a church-goer to celebrate. Just pick something better to hunt.
These are just a few samples from our Easter mug collection. And if you’re putting together more than one gift basket, remember that U.S. orders of two or more mugs get free shipping!
