Field Trip

Once a year, my school would have a field trip to a local museum. Sometimes it was a science exhibit, other times it was art, or natural history, whatever tied in to our current lessons. The best museums have all of these things and more, such as the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., which takes a week to tour in its entirety.

May 18 is Museum Day! That’s a Saturday, so if you’re off work, why not plan a visit to one of your local museums? No museums close by? No problem! You can still celebrate your favorite collection with one of our great mugs!

1. Archaeology

If you like studying artifacts from the past, such as old armor, prehistoric weapons, ancient coins, or indigenous artwork, thank an archaeologist!

2. Art

Visiting an art museum is a wonderful way to see examples of many different styles throughout the centuries. And costs less than collecting them yourself!

3. Dinosaurs

For the kids, and the kids at heart. Who isn’t impressed by the big skeletons at the Museum of Natural History?

4. Culture

If you can’t travel to foreign lands, let the museums bring them to you! This is especially convenient if you want to learn about people that existed several hundred years ago.

5. Curator

Whatever collection or display strikes your fancy, don’t forget that there’s a whole team dedicated to finding the perfect examples for you.

These and many other “of interest” mugs are waiting for you! Do a search for your favorite from our home page. Lots of interests? Remember that U.S. orders of two or more mugs get free shipping!
