You’re part of the precipitate.
That’s really all I remember from my chemistry classes, the jokes. Chemistry was difficult for me. I’m sure it makes sense to many people, but I am not one of them. I was fortunate to get great lab partners, because I would have set something on fire if left alone. Probably myself.
Even though I don’t understand it, I really appreciate those folks who do. There are many subspecialties in the field of chemistry: organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and bio, to name a few. These different types of chemistry drive technological improvements (better batteries), health care (effective medicines), and even cooking (pickling and brewing).
The first week of November is designated as Chemistry Week. If you know a chemist, help them celebrate with one of our Chemistry mugs!
1. H2O or H2SO4
The three rules of chemistry are: measure twice, label clearly, eat elsewhere. Because you can’t tell the difference between water and sulfuric acid just by looking.
There are relatively few element names that can become jokes, so they get used a lot.
3. Words with Friends
Another clever use of the periodic table.
4. No Rabbits
When you’re playing with the building blocks of the universe, you can do some amazing things.
5. An Elemental Truth
I don’t know about you, but when I have a headache, I’d rather take an aspirin than gnaw on a willow tree.
These are just a few of the fun Chemistry mugs we have available. Remember, U.S. orders of two or more mugs get free shipping!
