Need Help? Call Us On

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.”

So says Jane Austen in the famous first line of Pride and Prejudice. Of course, we have a not-so-flattering name for that sort of wife. The trials and tribulations of marriage have been mined for drama, morality lessons, and humor since the first wedding ceremony. Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey speak of the wars caused by Helen of Troy, Shakespeare gave us the headstrong Kate in The Taming of the Shrew, and 1950s television delivered the comedic bickering of The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy.

Marriage isn’t always easy, but it’s usually more satisfying than being alone. If you can find someone who encourages your best and overlooks your worst, that’s worth holding on to.

September 16 is Wife Appreciation Day, so take a moment to let your better half know how much they mean to you!

1. Yes, Dear

And if you’re not convinced, she can easily demonstrate the opposite.

2. But…

You can win an argument with your wife, but look up “Pyrrhic victory” before you try.

3. The Man of (Her) House

As long as I finish everything on the “honey-do” list first, of course.

4. Good Point

Marriage licenses don’t come with disclaimers.

5. The Short Version

Yes, we can go into detail, but not on a single mug.

6. Cheering Section

Facing another day at work is much easier when you have someone encouraging you.

7. Warning

She loves me and knows the judge. You’re not going to win.

8. ORG Chart

The best thing about it is that HR doesn’t get involved if you sleep with the boss.

9. Tolerances

Your wife will let you indulge in a hobby because it keeps you out of her way. Just don’t let it go too far.

10. No Words

Let her know that you’d do it all over again.

These are just some of the fun wife mugs we stock. And remember, you can get any design on a custom T-shirt, too!
