Like so many others that enjoy music, I dabbled with learning to play. I picked up a few pieces for piano, a little bit of guitar. I was good enough to keep myself amused, but never to the point where I thought that joining a band would be in anyone’s best interests, particularly potential audiences. You’re welcome.
February 3 is known as the day the music died, due to the 1959 plane crash that claimed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. You’ve probably heard the song. Even though their careers were cut short, their influence is still with us. If someone you know is a musician, show them how much you enjoy their work with one of our great music mugs!
1. Unplugged

Stay hydrated at the next Open Mic Night with this cool acoustic mug.
2. Amped Up

If you get twitchy when your guitar isn’t in your hands, this mug will help.
3. In the Wind

Because music’s not always about volume and power.
4. On the Chin

Some of my favorite recordings are of rock bands backed by orchestras. The contrast between guitars and violins emphasizes both.
5. Got Brass?

The staple instrument of any decent marching band.
