Relaxation Day, 2019

Hit that deadline! Meet that sales target! Land that client! File that paperwork! Work can be stressful. Even after you are through for the day, you still have to take care of your family obligations, and they can be just as taxing. And if we manage to carve out a little bit of time for ourselves, we have all of our social media, e-mails, and texts to take care of.

We need a break.

August 15 is Relaxation Day. Take a day off from work, get away from the computer, and turn off your phone’s notifications. Spend some time doing something you enjoy, not things that have been dropped on you. Here are some suggestions!

1. Hobbies

Having a hobby is a great way to relax, because the only person you have to satisfy is yourself.

2. Travel

Put the office in the rear-view mirror and visit somewhere else for a while.

3. Hiking

Getting out in nature is an easy way to leave the computers behind. Believe it or not, there are still some places without WiFi.

4. Binge Watch

Find a good series and spend some time on the couch. Passive entertainment can be very relaxing.

5. Sleep

When all else fails, get some more rest! Sometimes you just have to recharge your batteries before you dive back in.
