Ever since I learned to read, I’ve collected favorite books. What could fit on a nightstand soon filled a box, then a shelf, then a bookcase, then another bookcase, etc. Yes, they’re a pain to pack and move, but it’s worth the trouble.
In 2014, the New York Public Library decided that the fourth Wednesday in January would be “Library Shelfie Day.” Libraries all over the world were encouraged to post pictures of shelves they wanted to show off. It didn’t take long for the general public to join in, with people displaying their personal collections. In 2020, it falls on January 22.
If you’re a librarian, know a librarian, or just love to read, celebrate Shelfie Day with a picture of your favorites, then enjoy a cup of coffee in one of our book mugs while you read!
I think you get extra credit if you have this mug in your picture, too.
They need it to process returns, restock the shelves, clean, and (especially) deal with the public.
Have an odd or obscure request? Your local librarian can find it.
It’s a cliché, but it’s so true. It’s hard to concentrate on your book if people are being loud.
You don’t have to be a librarian to have an impressive stack of books on your desk, nightstand, end table, etc.
This is just a small selection from our collection of librarian mugs. Remember, U.S. orders of two or more mugs get free shipping. That saves enough money to pay off some of those overdue fines!
