Wine of the Times

I’m not a wine drinker, but I do cook with it, so I’ve had to learn about it in order not to ruin my meals with bottles of almost-vinegar. Fortunately, the clerks at the nearest wine store were able to make recommendations based on recipes while I experimented, and now I sound like I sort of know what I’m talking about when I suggest this red over that one when making boeuf en croute.

Cooking aside, many people enjoy a glass of wine over dinner, or at the end of the day before bed, or as a way to tolerate the people around them. February 18 is National Drink Wine Day, so if you want to replace the coffee in your mug with your favorite vintage, we won’t tell.
