Wood is Good

I have the basic tools in my toolbox. Wrenches, screwdrivers, that sort of thing. I can do all of the simple repairs necessary to keep the house going. As for hobby stuff, most of my creations are fabric or electronic, so I’m usually running a sewing machine or a soldering iron. I’d be lying if I said I never lingered in the power tool section of the local hardware store, though. Sometimes it would be really nice to be able to put together just the right thing. I recently spent way too much time trying to track down a riser for my desk. I wanted to raise the monitor, hide all of the cabling, and have a few cubbies to stash peripherals and supplies. The problem is that my desk top is an old cut-down door, so it’s a non-standard length. I finally worked something out, but it’s not exactly what I wanted. I’m determined that my next house will have space for a simple wood shop.

If someone you know loves to shape and saw and craft, give them one of our great Woodworking mugs!

1. Preferences

Of course you would. In the shop, you make the things fit the way you want them to, rather than having to compromise with everyone else.

2. The first step…

I can quit any time I want. Just one more bookshelf…

3. Additives

Personally, I take mine with sugar, but hey…

4. Ulterior Motive

If I can’t reach around it, someone’s getting a brand new dining table!

5. Pegboards are your friends

But there are always more accessories.

6. No Discrimination

It’s not splintery and pitted, it’s distressed!

7. The Plane Truth

You know you’ve been productive when you have to empty the shop-vac twice.

8. But first I have to build a phone booth

A much more useful ability than talking to fish.

9. The most important tool

How else will I stay inspired?

10. Smells better, too

A messy shop floor means stuff is getting done.

These are just a few of the woodworking mugs we have available. And you can always order a Custom mug for your favorite tool user, too!
